Paramatman (or Paramatma) is a Sanskrit term meaning the “Supreme Self” or “Universal Soul” representing the ultimate, infinite consciousness or God that underlies all of existence, distinct from the individual soul (Atman) yet intrinsically connected to it, a core concept in Hinduism, Vedanta, and Yoga philosophies. It signifies the ultimate reality or Brahman, the divine essence present in everything, with individual souls being sparks of this divine source.
