This website presents the Teachings and Guidance of Sri Ramana Maharshi, the Sage of Sages, the Sage of Kings, and the Sage for simple devotees, in particular. His Words are healing, helping and loving. One who has come under His influence is never forsaken. So, it is with extreme pleasure and happiness that I have added here His Teachings that have been very useful and helpful to me, and which I hope are the Crème de la Crème of His offerings, even though every word He says is an Upanishad.
Sri Ramana Maharshi is the epitomy of Love, Kindness, Peacefulness, Perfection and Understanding. Born to Noble Parents, He emanated a brilliance even as He manifested Himself to give refuge to lost and tormented souls.
When He was sixteen, He realized and became fully aware of His Real Blissful Being. He left home and reached the Holy Arunachala Hill and the Magnificent Temple of Glorious Light of Sri Siva and Devi Parvati at Tiruvannamalai.
There He Is Forever, radiating Perfect Peace and Tranquility. He imparts Knowledge of the Self and the Guidance to obtain It. He reveals the hollowness, shallowness and the misery of worldly attachments and obsessions. He treats everyone with perfect equality.
He communicated with his Devotees through his Deep Silence and Peace. He taught and wrote only when a true devotee or an ardent seeker requested him to do so. But those few works and talks cannot be equalled by any amount of Riches. Because they provide Love, Comfort, Help and Refuge to us like a cool, soothing, healing balm on a scorching injury. Can money buy real Love and Happiness?
The Beauty of this Great Being, the Sage of Sages, is that His Grace reached everyone equally, whether they were physically with Him, or whether they were far away from Him. It still continues to reach everyone. But the ultimate proof of His Amazing Grace comes from the fact that It is available the same way to those who have never seen Him, or even heard of Him, no matter what gender, religion, class, caste or creed they belong to.
His Teachings came my way very gently like a soft breeze on a sunny day. His atmosphere and aura landed on me like a fruit in the palm of my hand. Even though He was not there physically, it felt very peaceful and natural to follow His Words and think of His Sweet Nature. Somehow I always feel I can count on Him. And I am very touched and humbled that such a Great Magnificent Being, glorified and worshiped by Great Gurus, Mahatmas and Devotees, came to me spiritually to save me and guide me. How can I complain about anything? What else is there that is greater than this?
Sri Ramana is my Best Friend. The truth is, He is everybody’s Best Friend, whether they know it or not !
